The Adventures of Shorty

My daughter recently created a children’s book entitled The Adventures of Shorty about a dog. Although I had nothing to do with the authorship, I was involved in the logistics of getting

 it to print. 

It was a most rewarding and excellent experience mainly because of Denis Proulx, the illustrator. Once we had a basic text developed, we went looking for an illustrator and through google search and other investigations found Denis and really liked his techniques and approach to children’s books.

Denis took our text and suggested illustrations and turned them into a draft set of drawings, he readily accepted our revisions even the last-minute ones. His preliminary illustrations were bang -on and turned the text into a wonderful children’s book. Denis was also helpful in getting the book published and advised us 

on the steps to take. The process went easily, and the books were published only a few weeks after inception. 

This was our first experience with book writing, illustration and publishing and I would recommend Denis unreservedly as an illustrator and advisor for those interested in children’s books.
